Could This Be the Most Stylish Rosé of the Summer?

"G DE DALOUPET" VON MAISON GALOUPET: EIN PROVENZIALISCHER BIO-ROSÉ IN EINER DER LEICHTESTEN FLASCHEN DER WELT.

In a market where many wines trade on tradition, G de Galoupet bets on transformation. The new cuvée from the visionary estate Maison Galoupet in Provence is not just a rosé — it’s a statement: for taste, for sustainability, and for a new visual language in the world of wine.

Rosé Between Sea and Mistral: Where G de Galoupet Is Born

Nestled between the Mediterranean and the Îles d’Or, G de Galoupet is produced in a place where northern winds meet salty sea breezes. The estate — part of the Moët Hennessy group since 2019 — consciously embraces parcel viticulture, late-night harvesting, and vinification in stainless steel tanks. The assemblage (60% Grenache, complemented by Cinsault, Rolle, Syrah, and Tibouren) reflects the diversity of the micro-terroirs: black schist soils, sandy layers, mineral textures.

From the first pour, the 2024 vintage announces its origins — notes of pomelo, passion fruit, apricot, and raspberry unfold with surprising clarity. On the palate, this organic rosé is silky, with a whisper of salt — like a summer afternoon at Cap Bénat.

One of the World’s Lightest Bottles

What catches the eye immediately is the bottle itself. Weighing just 300 grams, it ranks among the lightest wine bottles in the world — 40% lighter than standard bottles. The glass consists of 85% recycled material, and aluminium or plastic capsules are dispensed with entirely. Instead, a so-called bandule — a hybrid solution combining bandelette and capsule — replaces the conventional closure.

The minimalist packaging is no aesthetic gimmick, but sustainable practice. It contributes to CO₂ reduction, eliminates unnecessary materials, and reframes luxury as conscious understatement. An approach that fits the wine’s positioning perfectly: demanding without being elitist.

Pleasure Without Pretension: Bistronomic, Organic, Balanced

G de Galoupet is not a rosé that chases spectacle — it’s a dinner companion with depth. It pairs beautifully with dishes from the Mediterranean kitchen, from salads to seafood to grilled fish. As an aperitif, it brings exactly the right balance of freshness, structure, and finesse.

The long finish, the complexity in nose and palate, and the interplay of fruit and minerality make one thing clear: this is not a throwaway wine. It’s a rosé for those who refuse to settle for the ordinary, even in summer.

A Rosé That Thinks Further — In Every Sense

With G de Galoupet, Maison Galoupet positions itself as a pioneer for a new generation of Provençal wines. One that convinces not only through its bouquet, but through its conviction: sustainably produced, consciously designed, with genuine terroir character.
